Dr. Sarah Brennan earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Oregon, where she trained in evidence-based treatments for anxiety, mood disorders, and trauma. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at a community mental health centre and her post-doctoral fellowship at a university counselling service, gaining broad experience across diverse populations and presenting concerns.
Dr. Brennan's therapeutic approach is integrative and client-centred. She draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness-based interventions, adapting her methods to fit each client's unique needs, cultural background, and personal goals. She believes that the therapeutic relationship itself is one of the most powerful catalysts for change.
Outside the therapy room, Dr. Brennan is passionate about reducing the stigma around mental health care and making quality support accessible to all. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and regularly engages in continuing education to stay at the forefront of clinical research and practice.
